About Subject background: New York Subway, people walking by casting some reflections on the celing. Is this the dark side of our soul? the schizophrenia inside us? The good and the bad? Our guardian angels? ... tbc

small remark: the stressing of the reflections (and not the persons) is fully intentional =)

PS concept: Switch to grey scale via Lab Color, typical adjustment layers

As always: Honest feedback highly appreciated

Thilo,

You're on fire man. I love this image. And you're right, the reflections are far more interesting than the subjects they mimic.
Cheers,
Erik

und als totaler Fan von Reflektionen wollte ich vor dem Lesen des Abouts sagen, mal wieder finde ich die Spiegelung spannender als das Objekt...

schön das wir uns da einig sind...
funktioniert bestens in b&w...

der Blick wird immer wieder nach oben gezogen, fast magisch...

Hi Thilo, i used to be schizophrenic but now i'm just in two minds about it :)
Great shot, i could have made the contrast a little stronger but thats just an opinion - i like my BW to be really strong :). Love the reflections on the roof - well seen.
Regards Neil

Hi Thilo, If this is a continuation of the media theme, I'm at a loss; cannot find any reference to movie or song... heheheh. To be honest, I don't see the connection between the photo and Schizophrenia either.

I do like the shot; the composition, nicely using diagonals and perspective, is well balanced, and the reflection in the metal ceiling structure is excellent; I'm beginning to believe that's the connection with the title....:)

Cheers,

Hugo

Definetely great Thilo...

The reflections are captivating... Excellent composition and tones... Every one of us has its dark side... Every one of us at one point get to the crossroad...

Cheers,

MaLuisa

I think this shot fits well to refletion project too.
The idea it's great and i like a lot the toning.
The stressing is good for me.

Hi Hugo,

it's kind of a pain in the a** to find titles in English. It's not that my English is SO bad, but I have some more thousand words in German to make more suitable titles =)

So, yes: it's again a cheap title =)

Hi Neil,

I made the experience that especially BW shots look totally different on two different monitors. Not too easy to find the right contrast for both ones =)

thx for the feedback,
Thilo

Right to my favorites... well seen and done... and the title is great, as Hugo has noticed..
Do you use the same lenses with your film and digital cameras?
I can?t believe it was a iso 800 shot... the quality is fantastic!!!
Cheers!
