Too funny. Love their expressions, but love your tones even more. They're spot on.

Louise Vessey   {K:13853} 1/23/2005
Great!! Love how you have posed them upside down from each other! Can you explain how you use window light? Do you use a reflector? How close are the babies to the window?? Thanks, love your stuff. I am photographing a little baby tomorrow and want to try some natural light!

Pat Fruen   {K:12073} 1/23/2005
Thanks, Louise. I just plopped them down on a towel within two feet of the window at midday. I didn't use a reflector. My window faces north so I'm lucky to have beautiful light. Good luck with your baby shoot tomorrow.

Louise Vessey   {K:13853} 1/23/2005
Thanks Pat!! So is the window higher than they are?? I have a big window in my studio, North facing and do use it for some things. I will play around with the baby tomorrow assuming it isn't rescheduled AGAIN due to snowstorms!!

My north window

Pat Fruen   {K:12073} 1/23/2005
What an incredible studio you have! I have NOTHING like that. Just a tiny little strip of floor between the window and our dining room table. The window is about like yours is-yes, it is higher than the babies were. You ought to be able to get great shots right where you're at...hope you post some!

Louise Vessey   {K:13853} 1/23/2005
Thanks, we just built it in the spring last year. I typically shoot with a big softbox and muslins etc but want to use that window more and more.

absolutely brilliant moment.
