I think there are two parts that would make excellent images here.... but as a whole the middle seems to be empty while there is interesting subjects at the top and bottom. The upper portion has so much detail and great contrast that it amkes for a great abstract image while the bottom has that amazing swirl and the water drops.
The colouring and contrast throughout this is awesome.

Excellent

So you make use search through the archives to find the previous version of this photo. ;)

Anyway, I found it, and I have to say that in comparison, I like this one better. It's much warmer and sharper, both things that I think really help the appeal of this photo.

I think that perhaps the image is too large on the screen though, and that's where there might appear to be too much empty space. In fact, I have to scroll to see it, so I never quite get a sense of the whole image.

It's amazing, how much texture can be displayed from WATER! The series of different sized ripples and circles are awesome, here... this is an awesome shot!

Are you from Baltimore???? I recognized a couple of your shots from the city, I live north of Balt....just curious. Email me & let me know (pruehair@comcast.net). Cheers, Brad

This a really nice composition that you've done here Gaja, in three levels..Highly textured in the foreground, then smooth in the midle and as a blurry effect on the background.. This is nicely seen.
I like the tones you used for your image
This an excellent work Gaja
7++
Congrats

This is beautiful, of course...a superb photo. The tones in this post look better than your previous scan attempt, and the photo filter is a nice touch. But I must say I like your original composition the best!

Hi Kim,

thanks for your comment. I see what you mean about the divisions. I think for me the focus of the photo, however, is the texture in the middle section, at least that's the part I find most interesting. Perhaps I could crop out the other portions.

Gaja

Hi Brad,

I just saw your comment again, and realized I hadn't replied. Yes, I live in Baltimore. Good eye to notice, I don't have that many revealing shots;-)

best,
Gaja

Wow :) this is an unusual shot, I love the reflections and textures... the lower part reminds me of a celtic knot ;-)
