Although this does have some really nice colors...working well together..The rocks sky and tree..I'm just wondering if you had used your slr and the "yummmmmmyyy" velvia if it would have made the sky a richer blue? Just wondering. It has alot of "vibrancy" as is just wondered about the velvia tho? A new film attempt for me and I'm excited about seeing what results....Still yet after looking for the 3rd time this does have some really beautiful colors working together.

Hahahaha, Debbie! You are becoming "Velvia dependent." LOL!! I love its bright, saturated colors, but beware that some people think Velvia is a bit overdone for their tastes. Lots of magazine photographers use it both for the color and its almost nonexistent grain -- which they need for good reproduction. They also need to use slides due to the way the printing process works.
Anyhoo.... sometimes you want to take a quick shot. This was pretty much just a snapshot. I was taking a hike and snapping things.
I don't think I messed with the colors any in Photoshop. I thought the Coolpix did a pretty decent job here. (The Coolpix is infamous for overdoing reds, however, and I must always mess with them in Photoshop!) Veliva really effects greens (and I LOVE my greens!! probably why I love Velvia!)..... and there aren't really greens here.
