Something about this simple, every day moment is very appealing to me. I like the toning, the shallow dof and the lighting. Nice.

thanks Pat! I'm scanning two films I shot a couple of days ago and decided to upload this. Not exactly sure why either. I guess it me it is a true character moment. It shows so much about the personality of them. If you look at this photo you get a very good idea how they are.

great interaction here... love it

Well done... love the expressions, the composition, and most importantly, the choice of dof.

Great moment, well-executed. Sepia is appealing, composition good, and subjects are engaging. BTW, I like how you do your signature, and you do very nicely placing it so that it balances with the composition in your photos. Antonia

thanks Antonia!
I get mixed feedback on the signature. Some wrote me it is so cool and asked me how I did it, others think its too obvious and actually weakens the artistic appearence of a photo.
I'm undecided. I consider everything in my portfolio experimenting so I'm open to any critique.

The idea was to add it on every photo quite visible (not too big of course) so it becomes kind of a logo for me. I would never put it on photos that become artprints, books or for an exhibition.
