Hi, thanks for all comments. I decided not to crop closer as it was intended as a 16x20 wall portrait. I like the space around her when it is blown up large like that!!

A truly award winning portait! Glad you didn't crop closer as this is a perfect fit compositionally. (whew! gotta rest after that BIG word!) Perfect as is although I'd love to see this with some selective coloring just for interest sake. The setting, the pose, the way she's cradeling the kitten...there is much to delight in within this image. All that's missing is the blue ribbon!
