About Sorry there is a fence-wire in the foreground. The heron got caught by a gust of wind which ruffled his / her feathers.

Marcus Armani   {K:36597} 1/28/2005
great shot steve, the wind is really doing a job on him, the effect is wonderful. very nice super sharp full of nice colors and detail, you should see my "bad hair day shot" same title differnt bird... keep up the great work.....

Margaret Sturgess   {K:49403} 1/28/2005
Hey Steve - remember the comment you made about the 'Denim Advert' well maybe it applies to your heron as well. This is just so fabulous, it would be wonderful without the wind ruffling his feathers but that is such a bonus - decisive moment caught perfectly

O my,this is really gorgeous....all the details are so clear...the feathers are super...you know that ik like feathers....do you? I never can make such kind of shots with my Minolta, if I come to close they will fly away......thats why I need a new cam with a telelens haha....maybe soon.....

Hi Ilona, I will try shoot some more feather shots. Your photo of one stuck on a thorn is still in my mind!

Get well soon!
Steve

STeve, this has gone to my favourites. I've really had to look hard for that fence wire. Sometimes we can be our own hardest critics. Terrific shot.

Yes, the bird is a little bit confused.
