Wow, great macro work Eric. I love the colour contrast between red & blue....what is the red? It looks like very thick and gloopy. The whole image is mouth watering! I also like the way the light catches around the berries making almost hexagon shapes.

Thanks for the praise james! The red is a plastic plate and I put a little water 2mm or so, which caught the light from the kitchen, No goo or sticky stuff, because they are my favorite and were eaten soon after..... its hard enough not to eat them all when photographing them...Im serious about that. Eventually I was down to one which you can see earlier in my portfolio. check it out

It certainly doesn't look like just water, great job. I've looked through some of your other images, you have a great eye for macro and colour contrast and see some things in a very unique way. Keep it up.

Great macro abstraction. That 2mm of water worked wonders.

well done. good DOF. did you shine light on the berries or flash it?

Fantastic!! I love it!

Jasmine, It was a kitchen light overhead that was reflecting off the water, no shining or flashing. Used a tripod and slow shutter with the camera on the tungsten light mode setting as well as super macro mode

thanks Eric, for the tips. I will try it someday. First to get decent looking berries...
