Hello Dear Max! Ooh... I know what you mean, I feel too so many times that it would be like a gift from above to come away somewhere and be totally alone! Can't you... escape? ;-) No... just joking... we have a built in "devil" in our brains called consiense.

I actually did escape a little bit when this photo was taken. (From all my workmates... hehe) I walked and walked and walked, and it was so nice and quiet. The snow was deep on some places in this forest, sometimes I took a step and half my leg disappeared under snow.

When I stood here where photo is taken, I loved too how the snow looked so untouched. Angry clouds were coming towards me, and the last bit of sun sneaked out just before it decided to disappear and let the bad weather take over.

But about the stressful life... I think all stressed people should go away, being alone a few days in total silence... That gives back so much strenght that it's unbelievable!

Yes... I'm still always busy! :-\ I think I will be the next coming years too. With 4 kids and work... free time is like a dream. And I never ever thought that teenagers would be this hard to raise. Sooooooooooo much harder than small children!

A big hug to you back! And please... try and "escape" sometimes, I promise it will give more strenght!

Thilo Bayer   {K:50355} 2/1/2005
hi kristina,

have you done anything in PS? It looks a bit strange to me. =) not exactly strange, but a bit surreal in details and sharpness.

anyway, nice view!

thilo

Kristina Kohut   {K:49990} 2/1/2005
Hi Thilo! :-)) I must have used a photoshop filter called "strange"... haha. No, just joking. Actually I haven't done anything else than my usual photoshopping. (Resize, a little bit contrast and a little bit unsharp mask). I think the strangeness might be because I spotmeasured on the bright snow. The sky did have a bit odd colour because it was angry clouds. If you look at bottom of the grayblue huge sky you can see the difference between the angry cloud and normal blue sky. But you don't even mention the colours... haha. But I think the sharpness might look strange because of the darkness.

Ursula Luschnig   {K:21932} 2/1/2005

Emgy Massidda   {K:60190} 2/4/2005
Hi, Kris
To me, this is the perfect house to spend some time in peace and quietness. With big fireplace inside and lots of books I could hide here for months. Great lighting in this shot. It adds to the pleasant and somewhat "dreamy" atmosphere. I like it!
Fantastic capture
Hugs - Emgy
