About I believe eating pasta in open air during winter can only be done in Rome :).
This is at Piazza Navona, it is situated in the historic center of Rome, west of the Pantheon.
The large and lively square features no less than three magnificent fountains. Another eyecatcher is the baroque church of Sant'Agnese in Agone.

Now it is one of Rome's liveliest squares, with many outdoor cafes, restaurants and night clubs in the neighborhood.
Says it's the perfect spot for La Dolce Vita (the sweet life) or ?la dolce fa niente? (?the sweetness of doing nothing. . .? other than eating gelato!).

Piazza Navona - ancient site of chariot races, now a social center of the universe ... maybe always was.

Very frank, honest and unposed catch ... converging lines set off nicely by arcs in the cobblestones. Couldn't the guy in the foreground with his back to you to move? Didn't he know he would be screwing up the rhythm of the chairs. Anyway, reflects the ambience well and very sharp.

Complimenti, si intravede il vero senso italiano.

Ciao

Nice mood evoked by the sepia toning. This is one of my many many favorite spots in Rome.

i like the "hectic" ness that was captured. Sephia-ish tone is nice as well!

It looks like a fine place to relax and enjoy yourself. Unless you're a waiter.

Linn Currie   {K:24426} 2/5/2005
Cessy, your choice to use sepia for this image is perfect. It adds to the "oldness" of the buildings and piazza, and it enhances the relaxed atmostphere of the eateries and cafes.
Well captured.
Linn
