About ?Para Armando... quién dicho estos ojos merecieron color, y para todos mis amigos de Usefilm que hacen esto tal lugar de la diversión para aprender y para jugar! Gracias.

For Armando...who said these eyes deserved color, and for all my Usefilm friends who make this such a fun place to learn and play! Thank you.
Besos -- Antonia

Technical: PS stamp filter (filter/sketch/stamp) blended with original image via opacity adjustment between layers. Her irises were enhanced with various greens and blues colors using paintbrush (color burning and multiply), dodge and burn tools, and then levels and curves tweaking.

Excellent work, Toni. I remember doing line drawings a long time ago, and this got me reminiscing.

Antonia BauerleinSehnert   {K:30030} 2/6/2005
Hi Mark, interesting that you should say that, as this is kind of like reminiscing for me, since I used to do these when I first started with digital, and then got bored with them and quit...lol. But I couldn't resist doing it on this one for some reason. Some images just lend themselves to this effect in PS, and this one seemed to be itching for it.

Cary Shaffer   {K:9289} 2/6/2005
Oh Toni, you make my heart stop! This is wonderful, keep the roll going, nice work, CAry

Hi Toni you did an outstanding job with this. the colors are perfect. This is one of those that you can see from far away and notice every bit of detail. great job and thank you for all the nice comments! craig

Antonia BauerleinSehnert   {K:30030} 2/6/2005
Hi Kel, we have been missing each other some, but I will be over to catch up tonight since I don't like to miss yours. It's been hard to keep up lately, and I see others saying the same...

Antonia BauerleinSehnert   {K:30030} 2/6/2005
Oh...and thanks! One more thing Kel, this is a simple filter in PS (Photostamp), blended with the original image using layers.

ARMANDO ALCÁZAR   {K:42656} 2/6/2005

Wonderful work Toni. You inspire me to think outside of my box. This is beautiful!

Antonia BauerleinSehnert   {K:30030} 2/6/2005
Anna, what a stinging remark... I don't take my work in this that seriously...I have the original and yes, it is lovely. This was just fun in PS to share something different for a change.

Antonia BauerleinSehnert   {K:30030} 2/6/2005
thanks CC...it is fun for me to loosen up and have a little fun in PS and to share it with friends, and I'm happy you are inspired. Antonia

It looks like a drawing, almost!
A big hug for you, dear friend, and thanks for this pic!
Ana

Antonia BauerleinSehnert   {K:30030} 2/6/2005
...glad you like it.. you are so good with selective colors

Antonia BauerleinSehnert   {K:30030} 2/6/2005
hugs back, Ana! Thank you...and it is a fun effect as I like to draw but PS does it for me!

Lily     {K:11009} 2/7/2005
Out of the two Yilana pictures, this is my favorite. Because it's different and is done so well. I don't have the latest version of PS but this is a very good application of the particular new tool/filter. Toni, Excellent job on the irises, the colors are marvelous and best of all, they stayed "real" after the PS manipulation. Thanks for sharing.

Antonia BauerleinSehnert   {K:30030} 2/7/2005
Thanks Lily, I believe this filter is in 6.0 as well if you have it. It's under filter/sketch/stamp.

Rona K **   {K:5448} 2/7/2005
And yes it is. For someone to take a plain photo and create something out of it is amazing and she did a wonderful job with it. Excellent work Toni!!! Look at it from a different perspective and you might like it. Its called... "Art"!!!

Rona K **   {K:5448} 2/7/2005
Hell Yea! You go girl!! And we thank you...

Fadel J   {K:13605} 2/7/2005

Manu     {K:13084} 2/7/2005
Excellent treatment on a wonderful model...I might have cropped it even closer and honed into the eye area...well done

Manu

Antonia BauerleinSehnert   {K:30030} 2/7/2005
Thanks Manu, I appreciate the suggestion!

Enrico Mazzoni   {K:689} 2/8/2005
Compliments!
Magical, great contact.

Enrico Mazzoni   {K:689} 2/8/2005
... I have a lot to learn, thanks!

Antonia BauerleinSehnert   {K:30030} 2/8/2005
Thanks Enrico...I just recommended yours for Photo of the Day! It hasn't gotten any where's near the attention it deserves. But that's just because you are new and it got buried before anyone had a chance to see it. Hopefully now some others will notice. I'll put you on friends so I can keep an eye on your work.

Roberto Arcari Farinetti   {K:178265} 2/17/2005

Carsten Ranke   {K:14453} 2/20/2005
Often I see that PS filter effects do not improve a shot, but this is a rare exception. Truly photo-art, excellent work ! Thank you for the tech info, will try that filter out.

Antonia BauerleinSehnert   {K:30030} 2/20/2005
Thanks Carsten. When I first started playing in PS I was fascinated by the filters and tried to achieve artistic effects with them, soon becoming enchanted, then bored and disenchanted by my results. But I've discovered that certain types of images better lend themselves to the application of these filters and this is one I thought well enough of to post. You haven't seen many of the others -- some of which were sold, but I would now not think of posting....our vision matures.

un mare infinito i suoi occhi...
che tu hai ripreso in modo magistrale
un'anima regale deve possedere chi ha questi occhi....
una sensibilità regale chi ha fatto questa Fotografia...

complimenti

Soul, Amo le vostre parole. Grazie dal mio cuore. Antonia

PAUL CZAJA   {K:2554} 6/10/2005
I value greatly your presentation of this striking portrait -- it is somewhat dreamy -- surrealistic -- as if she were looking through a train's window before it pulls away -- the close cropping makes her appear much older than she is -- accentuates the timelessness of her soul -- of her feminine beauty -- yes, her eyes, but the eyes are the window of the soul.

Paul Lara   {K:80165} 7/9/2005
abstract freckles! how wonderful!!
This is a beautiful portrait, Antonia.

Antonia BauerleinSehnert   {K:30030} 7/10/2005
Paul, thanks for taking the time to delve into my portfolio and pick out one that you liked. That tells me something. This was an experiment (hmmm come to think of it, most of my work is...lol). Antonia
