About The roman soldiers / legionaires can always be found in most touristic places in Rome, this one I saw in front of Trevi fountain.

Usually you need to pay to take a picture of him or with him, unless he does not know :). I took it with focal length 238mm :D

Just look at where he puts his hands to keep them warm!
I'm glad you didn't have to pay him Cessy ... though he does look like a jovial fella!

Great colour and detail.

lol, I guess he felt a little bit cold, having to wear short skirt and without jacket in the winter

Chris Spracklen   {K:32552} 2/9/2005
Excellent portrait of this well-dressed soldier, Cessy.
Best regards, Chris

Linn Currie   {K:24426} 2/9/2005
Cessy, so did you get a picture of him with his little skirt? Guess then more than just his hands were freezing, huh?
Linn

Hehe.. peut-être qu'il ne pouvait pas porter ses lunettes ;-)) Il a quand-même l'air très amusé ..

The perfect use for a long lens ;) and I love the way the background has blurred. Terrific portrait, Cessy.

Wouldn't you hate to stand there all day and pretend you were enjoying it? But then a particularly nice tourist would come by, like you for example, and it would be all worth while. An excellent candid portrait.

Saeed Al Shamsi   {K:47727} 2/10/2005
He must be an ancient strong roman descendant, to resist the winter cold, beautiful pose and colour image. Saeed

molto disinvolto e simpatico questo "guerriero di altri tempi". io penso che la giornata sia stata senza sole per questo la foto è così "delicata", ed equilibrata..
benritrovata e alla prossima fotografia..
