About Dan Lightner Photography
This is my latest in my series of Techniques explained. This is the latest in my 101 series, I used a piece of glass , some rainX,try this site

http://www.hamptonresearch.com/hrproducts/4332.html ,

(gives you a much taller bead of water) and a box to make some interesting images. I placed a sun flower in the box.(THE BOX IS MADE FROM FOAM CORE INSULATION IT HAS A SHINY SIDE AND CAN BE BOUGHT AT A HARDWARE STORE FOR AROUND $8 FOR A 4X8 FOOT PIECE YOU CAN CUT IT WITH A KNIFE USE TAPE TO HOLD IT TOGETHER) I put the glass on top, and put water droplets on the glass, then focused on the drops here are the results. I like the colors on this one. The light is placed in the back and must be kept lower than the top of the glass or you will get a bad flare.
Camera was set at F8 and a shutter speed of 1/4 second. The Flower is placed about 4 inches below the water drops but that is not important. You can move the flower around and up and down until you get it right where you want it in the dropif you move it up it gets bigger in the drop. The drop is like a fish eye lens the image is always in focus you just need to focus camera on the drop.

Check below in the comments and you will see the picture and technique used for this set up. Its about 22 comments down the page.

Very nicely done Dan.. A friend and I were thinking of executing a variation of this idea using a piece of silk screen and a macro lens, but your way is much easier.. Thanks for sharing :)
