America now resides in Pigeon Forge Tennesee at the National Eagle Foundation on the grounds of Dollywood. You can see America at http://www.eagles.org/ and http://www.eagles.org/america.html.

The group is dedicated to the protection of eagles and they work tirelessly rescuing, rehabing, fostering and releasing eagles back to the wild when possible. A very worthy organization.

Thank you and thank you very much.

Thank you Margaret. They are a very powerful bird both in symbol and physically. I've rescued about a dozen or so and although they weigh only about 12 pounds or so they can give you a workout keeping away from the beak and talons.

Nice portrait Lee. You might enjoy the egales I photographed in the wild this winter.

Thanks for the nice comments. I love eagles (they taste like chicken). I've rescued several and they're as very powerful as they look. Here's a photo shot as I was exiting the woods with an eagle that took us over an hour to rescue. I was really worn out by then.

Your photos are great. My wife and I want to take a trip to Alaska to see these guys.
