About Taken on Tuesday, at Portland Bill, Unfortunately the lighthouse wasn't open to the public as it was 'out of season', but we still enjoyed a great few hours walking and taking in the sea air.

Best regards to all,

Chris

P.S. Carole's not a great one for posing ~ so this is, as the title says, 'As close as you'll get'!!

I like that Carole is in the shot adds to the composition and gives a size referance to the shot.Beautiful colors.

Den Thompson   {K:30432} 2/10/2005
Marvellous shot Chris. I love the vapour trail crossing the dark blue sky. Last time there I took the classic humour shot of Margaret propping up the lighthouse.
Regards.

Lori Stitt   {K:74437} 2/10/2005
Nice shot Chris,
I especially like the low camera angle,
Lori :)

ps...I completely understand Carole, I'm the same way! (not uncommon for women) LOL

Dave Stacey   {K:117531} 2/10/2005
Great colour contrasts, Chris! What beautiful weather you're having!
Dave.

Roger Williams   {K:83282} 2/11/2005
It looks a wee bit as if you didn't have quite enough dynamic range to render this ideally... the highlights couldn't really be any brighter but the shadowed areas look underexposed. Knowing your expertise in PhotoShop I guess this is deliberate, though. And of course I could be wrong. Do blues skies REALLY look like that? I forget!

Keith Naylor   {K:13046} 2/11/2005
Until I read Roger's comment I would have said perfect, but when I went back and looked I think I might agree with Roger. Just a tad more brightness might be enough to make this really jump. However I do like the saturation of the reds and the sky, terrific.
