Great perspective and a great capture of this cutie, I can see she has you wrapped around her finger. Beautiful lighting and I love the sepia tones. Alison

Ah, I know that stare well, my three year old has almost an exact replica. The cloth looks like headgear from robin hood. I like the out of focus feet, and the sepia toning. Nice shot~

great sepia - love the sunbeam in the background. I like the DOF but it would be nice to see this overall sharp to compare.
Great portfolio, btw. Must be nice to be able to get your kids to hold still long enough for pictures.
cheers,
Jon

thanks a lot Jon! I'm very much a DOF fan. That was actually the main reason for me to go into medium format. Unfortunately my kids are not posing at all, nor do they hold any positon for longer than 3 seconds (unless they are watching TV :). SOmeomes I'm lucky when they find a toy interesting and happen to sit down in a spot that would make a good photo. But even then I have to grab the camera really quick. Most of my shots are out of some kind of activity. Luckly on the photo it appears to be calm and relaxed. :)

The low angle really makes the shot.

thanks Stefan! I always try to go to eye level with the kids. If they sit on the ground I like it very much to include the ground to show the small DOF better. It adds more depth to the image.
