I was walking along the waterfront last week in Habana and she was sitting with some of her friends and then ran up and asked that her pic be taken, I offered to mail her a copy resulting that I lent her me pen and jotter to write her address...
We spoke of her schooling and family... gave her a dollar which contrary to many others... she hesitated but accepted.

A classic pose, a lovely looking girl, the dreamy background? all for a dollar? What an excellent deal you got T ! I truly admire the shot but for the contrast values? I took the liberty and hope you don?t mind ? Otherwise I apologize in advance and promise never to do such a thing again?
Very telling the literacy stats you point out? to these it can be added the highest standard of free public health care in all Latin America (in fact for over 3 decades the Cubans not only educate and take great care of their own but continue to export medical personnel all over 3rd world countries)? and many other remarkable feats of political will and conviction, notwithstanding the economical strangulation by a supper power, which, over 7 administrations remains bent on returning their corporate lackeys back to exploiting the island paradise? God Bess America...
