I agree, the limited dof is attractive here. Love those red leaves; do you still have some or was this taken a little while ago? Crazy as this weather is, anything's possible. ;)

Just love the Depth of Field in this photo Dottie, the Canon kit lens never ceases to amaze me.

Looking at your work and that of good friends Mark Evans and Keith Saint, the 18-55mm lens is a sure winner :-)
