So ... you were lying on the ground/street to capture this? Anyway, great angle and sharpness. Not very inviting, blocked by all those signs and ads ... ;-)

Really a great perspective of the city that never sleeps - love the wide view and the color -the signs make it "no turns" , "yield" , "new" .. K

lovely Thilo. great colors, and so much crammed into one frame-has almost a collage feel. very cool stuff, and again makes me really want a wideangle lens.

Kees and Carolyn    {K:15193} 2/14/2005
I love this shot! Great angle!
Carolyn

Magnus Beierlein   {K:1566} 2/14/2005
I really like the diversity of your shots from NYC. It?s my favourite place on this planet and i recognize the overwhelming feeling you sometimes get around Times square. this feeling was superbly caught in this shot from below. It?s Times Square viewed by a tourist for the first time or Times Square at night when some homeless bum opens his eyes before the hunt for another bottle of cheap wine to warm his soul. It?s also a very unusual view of one of the most stunning places on earth....never boring and aleays vital and exciting.

I sometimes wish I was that bum.

Thilo Bayer   {K:50301} 2/14/2005
Hi Jeanette,

you get a lot of impressions there - too much to handle for your brain :-)

So my cure is to make photos and to see the mess through the lens. helps sometimes.

take care,
thilo

Amazing perspective Thilo, I nearly fell on my back looking at this :-)
