About My husband bought me the prettiest rose on our anniverasary (2-10) and since I have never tried florals before I took this opportunity to do so!

Any advice, comments, critique are welcome! Thanks!

Very nicely done Mel! Good detail and dof. I'd like to see some more shots with different angles and selective focus.

Nice floral, the limited depth of field and imaginative point of focus gives this an artistic "painting" feel. I think the choice of toned black & white works very well. Thanks.

I like this smart blurriness on the rose, very artistic!

I like it, Melanie.
Good tone and very nice use of DOF.

the entire flower series is very good. I like the way you crop your pictures and reveal flower's "personality" :) I love the ones in sepia!

Best wishes to your family and many more happy anniversaries!

I like this one best of your flowers. There's just enough of the blown out background for my eye. Nice.
