A simple, beautiful, shot. The tones are great. It emphasizes the fragility of the flower.

Soft, dreamy, wonderful tones. Simplistic, but beautifully romantic.
Well done Christine - good to see you back.

Neal Nye   {K:15827} 2/17/2005
You've extracted it's essential rose-ness without even using it's color. A tour de force if there ever was one. It's soft and lovely and magical in its quiet power.

Randy Lorance   {K:24769} 2/18/2005
Really a beautiful softness to this, perfect lighting and exposure to capture the delicate texture.

Fabulous Christine! Never thought a rose would look so beautiful in B&W tone. The shade had added a great perspective as well. Cheers my friend and hope to see you back soon.

Richard Dakin   {K:12915} 11/13/2005
A superb close-up. I can't comment technically (I have no expertise in this area), but I find the composition and the applied blur quite appealing. I think it reminds me of a more romatic time, when everthing was not colour enhanced for that "Velvia" look or oversharpened for that "digital" look. In dreamy B+W too. Congrats.

this is so beautiful...Great Job!
