About The first shot from our little expedition to Otley and the surrounding area.

T'was Dav, Steve Bowden and I on the banks of the Wharf for 1/2 the day!! Got a few funny looks for the locals, but most were nice - telling me about their grand daughters and the like !

This was one of 2 birds having a bit of a battle, the other one was in this shot, but very blurred and not really adding to the shot, so it got cropped.

Like the water no this more than the bird - shot in RAW, it's far easier to sharpen the shot without loosing loads of quality.

Nice shot Ade... in sharp and full of detail. Great capture of the drops scattering around the bird too... Well done!

Fabulous capture Ade, those are not water droplets on the wings but lumps of ice ... brr it was cold lol

This came out an absolute treat :-)

Excellent day, food at the Corner Cafe was pretty good too :-)

Best wishes,
Steve

PS get Davi to join Usefilm, I want to see some of his EOS 20D shots !

pretty close to ice weren't they!

Dav did say that you feel the cold more after hitting the big 40, I was fine!!

Just got through editing 15 of today's shots, lke the wier ones best, then some of the odds and sods on the road trip came out well. Thi was the best bird shot though.

This is my fave of the wier I think...

Dav's had some work done and his phone line's been broken so can't get on t'internet! He's frustrated! Should get him to put a few shots on disk and bring them over instead?

curious to see what you're gonna upload first :-)

See you monday

Great shot, Ade, you really caught the moment in this one!
Dave.

He's got gear down, flaps down but his nose is down too. Don't think that's good in aviation terms. They do make great subjects when flying though don't they Ade. Perfect timing here. well done.

Pity about the quality. All too dark. Could have been a wonderful image with that kind of action.

Sometimes things simply do not work out.

regards,
ken.
