During our snow today I was attempting to focus on a red-winged blackbird (left of center and a little high) when all of a sudden the birds flew into a frenzy going in all directions at once. A sharp shinned hawk on the hunt (photo to the left of this one) gave them good reason to do so and provided this unusual and almost surreal photo. Speedlight 800 was used because of low light.
