Best regard Joe!

Kareem Hamdan   {K:3180} 2/26/2005
Nice cat head, you used here the largest ap. I think more than 2.8 like 1.8, because I can't see the body, If I were you I would choose the the 3.2 because I want a little detail for the body, the cat goes to who feeds him, especially in the morning. The choose of color slide is v.good.

Regards
Kareem

Thanks Brita! He looks sweet, but actually quite fiery -- hence the name Wasabi! I think he is definitely a dog chaser!
Regards,
Omar

heheheh cute cat and excellent shot

George Black   {K:101993} 2/26/2005
Great pose of a beautiful animal. Interesting dof to keep all the attention on the sweet/fiery face.

Best wishes,
--george

Hi Kareem, thanks for your comments. I had to use 1.4 because there was not enough light (and this is slide). But also I think the dof creates a sleepy dreamy feeling like the cat after waking up!

Awww now that is just too cute. Definitely needs a cuddle.

Oh.... cute kitten, kittens like playing all day.

Good catch buddy, I like it,
Khaled.

Lea Mulqueen   {K:7396} 2/27/2005
What a great looking cat! The shallow DOF used works well with the pose you model has chosen.

Omar Rifaat   {K:10135} 2/27/2005
Thilo,
thanks for your comment. I'm glad you appreciate the effect. I was trying to emphasise the stretch/twist position of the cat with the DOF and long cropping.
Regards,
omar

arwa abdullah   {K:34425} 4/19/2005
Awww what a cutie!!! Love the name ;)
hope your new family member will live a happy long life with u all!
The image could have used some more details, a higher aperture number would have worked better still the image is soooooo cute hes so relaxed bet he loved your family from first sight :)

Omar Rifaat   {K:10135} 4/19/2005
He is verrrry cute... He likes to sleep on my head too, which is a little annoying at 3am..

I took the shot at 1.8 aperature for 2 reasons: 1 because I wanted to emphasise the stretching position (artistic reason) and 2. because there was low light and this is slide and any higher aperature would mean underexposure (practical reason)!
Take care,
omar

Bizim de beyaz bir kedimiz vardi. Bu fotoya bakinca aklima o geldi.

Tebrikler... 7/7

Berat,
although my name sounds Turkish, I don't speak Turkish! (My ancestors several generations ago were Turks) Can you translate? Thanks!
Omar

arwa abdullah   {K:34425} 4/19/2005
No way!!!
My cat sleeps over my head too!!!!!
About the aperture, both are very good reasons?flash is not an option with cats ;)

Mervo     {K:8562} 10/3/2005
