based on my translator the word 'Rekorcu' stands for record holder...he is...in collecting tires...

nice finding...

Cheers,
Verena

Hi Verena,
actually in this situation, i guess, recorder stands for those who break-records like in Guinness..

Nicole Marcisz   {K:10166} 2/27/2005

...so recording the rekorcu :) I like the composition here; good blacks; text, tires and sheep make an absolutely humorous image;
the wandering eye comes up to incredible situations; we are lucky that you carry your camera with you baki; but above all that your wandering eye can choose, compose and represent these situations...
I am enjoying this immensely! excellent

Your creativity in thinking of new themes and then taking photographs that explore them sensitivitely and in different ways is a great inspiration to me. I've been under terrible pressure recently, and am turning again to photography to help me keep my mental balance. Your inspiration is appreciated! I ALWAYS look even if I don't always comment...

Curtis Feather   {K:5130} 2/28/2005
great job here. the repetition of the tires makes a strong composition and the repeating work of rekorcu, very nice. the meaning of the word works to bring up some ideas, nice job.

emily savva   {K:21113} 2/28/2005
extraordinary snapshot Baki... great use of repetitive patterns and words... the sheeps add a whole new dimansion that is intringuing to the eye whereas the tones are simply excellent!!!! very well seen... congrats... emy :)

I had to look closely, and yes I see some sheep in there amidst all of the forgotten tires! An exceptional image with great texture and tones. Wonderful work, perhaps my fav. of the survival series~

Remarkable shot and place and the "rekorcu" could be how many deck a private person could have outside the sheep-house!!! Cause i guess there?s sheeps inside there..... Anyhow a great shot and a excellent theme.
