About Please forgive me Steve!!

I'm sure they';ve all seen your posses on the motor bike etc. in the profile, but just had to share this image of you at the camera trade show today.

I'd was testing out a 70-200 F2.8L at the time, ahd he was the best subject on offer - all the models were at the other end of the event!

Cropped down, B+W with channel mixer, sharpened eyes and teeth then a darker border added to remove a few distractions.

Hope he speaks to me again.....

This just what I imagined Ade to look like.

Is he taking the mick out of me Ade. That's the pose that I took when I was in the dentist's chair recently. Great candid! Where were all those scantilly clad sales promo girls?

ha ha

it's a typical "Bowden" pose actually - He saw me pointing a camera and assumed it was my little 85mm lens, so would be a spec in the photo. But alas no. a huge 200 F2.8 L glass giant! Felt superb.

very nearly bought it - it was £500ish cause it'd had been bruised a bit. Perfect working order, best lens I've touched too.

Saw the Sigma 50-500 too, a mightly looking piece of kit that was. must be fun to use.

Cheers

Ade

So that's what he looks like! Nice to meet you, Steve! And thanks for the introduction, Ade!
Dave.

Aye - think I'm on the list for that weekend. Be nice to try a lens that size again, my mate here's got the 170-500, that's quite a BEAST too. Expecially when you put the lens hood on, it's huge!

Den Thompson   {K:30432} 3/2/2005

Ade - you terror, and I thought we were mates lol

Now don't you blame me when everyone scores this 1's and 2's ... it will be your fault

Funny though, a nanosecond later I realised it must have been on "your" camera - therefore worried I would have to have been captured.

Still it could have been a lot worse - like me sliding on my backside down a muddy bank in Pately Bridge lol

Steve

ps revenge will be sweet, now where are my SHEEP photographs ;-)

ade mcfade   {K:12388} 3/2/2005
......ummmm, forgot about the revenge!!! I'm over the sheep thing, honest!

Just when I moved to Yorkshire, the ways of the Yorkshireman took over! Need regular visits back to Lancashire to recover !

Out of the 5 or 6 of you and mike, this one really stood out. I reckon it's cause you didn't realise till too late that it was a REAL photo that it's come out so naturally.

Cheers

Ade

Ade, Stephen and I were discussing you just today - I understand you may have interesting photos of him eating Chinese food? Thanks for showing the real Steve and I look forward to reviewing your portfolio. Amy

ade mcfade   {K:12388} 4/4/2005
Hi Amy.....

I got a few of Den and Steve in the restaurant....

not sure I'm allowed to show them.... on fear of been "photoshopped" to a sheep.

But here's one I can let out... the Autofocus went for the bacground for some reason..... but you get the idea with his expression!

Cheers

ade
