About it was at the lake at valee de joux, I took it last week-end. the lake was completely frozen, at the jura mountain area around 1000m height, i was totally amazed how this big lake (12 km long, 1 km wide) could be frozen.
for me it's really the magic of nature. people can actually skiing, ice skating and play hockey there.

A nice image. I like the curved line of the footprints leading to the man. It sure looks cold there.....

Fantastic composition. It's really pleasant for the eye to follow the trace in the snow to the person away and feel the depth and space at the photo.

Ezxcellent capture Cessy, I love the low angle here - it would still scare me walking on this frozen lake unless I was dragging a boat behind me lol

Best wishes,
Steve

lol, it scares me also actually. so I let people walking in front of me first, and see what happens :)) that's also why I took picture lay face downward, hopefully the weight would be shared :))

Roberto Okamura   {K:22851} 3/2/2005

Terrific composition and tones, Cessy - I love how the steps lead into the photo, and the texture of the snow is wonderful. :)

Cenk KIRBAS   {K:1739} 3/3/2005
Beautifull composition and light control.

I would also try it with a smaller aperture focusing on the second foot print to get a stronger DOF.

Cheers

Great idea and perspective! I love the Jura region and its nice to see it again here..
Don't worry about the ice, its probably harder than any road you drive your car on!
