I think yes. Just because sometimes original images need some regulations, depending on the setup of your camera of course, if all parameters (contrast, sharpness and saturation) are set to zero you just had to increase one or the other to improve the photo, this is absolutely normal even with great and expensive cameras. I tried to modify the image (saturation + contrast) from my point of view, hope you like it, anyway you can try to adjust to your taste ;) Hugs, Max

Very nice motif, my vote is for a compromise between yours and Massimo?s. Surely it is tempting to push colors and contrast with PS. Some days ago I heard about the "postcarditis", and I think I am infected myself with that postcard virus ;-) All joking aside, I would try a multiply blended layer mask with 50% opacity after a slight levels adjustment. Massimo is quite right, Canon colors straight out of the camera are not perfect.

Thank you,I go with your version :) are you german? PS ist für mich sowieso ein Buch mit 7 Siegeln..und in englisch noch mehr :( Ich übe zwar heftig,aber die höheren Weihen fehlen mir noch.Wäre es eventuell möglich,nochmal in deutsch....? Sorry für meine Unkenntnis...

Das PS - Fachchinesisch-Englisch kann ich ganz gut weil meine PS Version englischsprachig ist... Also, es ist bei Canon ein chronisches Problem mit der schwachbrüstigen Farbe. Meine G1 hatte ich schon immer auf maximale Sättigung eingestellt, was oft noch nicht ausreichend war. Auch bei meiner 300D jetzt muß ich meistens etwas nachhelfen (wieviel wirklich gut ist, das ist die Frage ... Ich finde den Begriff der "postcarditis" wirklich treffend, hat mich auch lange Zeit schwer erwischt. Bin momentan auf dem Weg der Besserung, versuche mich mit noch nachvollziehbaren Farben. Um ein etwas flau wirkendes Bild zu verstärken, arbeite ich gerne statt mit der Sättigung / dem Kontrast mit Masken. Also: Kopie des Bildes als neue Ebene, den Modus der Ebenen-Kopie auf "Multiplizieren" statt "Normal", dann Feintuning mit der Transparenz der Ebenen-KOpie. Das funktioniert gut für einen Polfilter-Effekt beim Blau des Himmels, für andere Motive kann auch der "Softlight" (ich nehme an, "weiches Licht") Blendmodus gut funktionieren.

Danke!!!Das ist endlich mal was nachvollziehbares für mich...Obwohl ich speziell mit Ebenen auf Kriegsfuss stehe...aber ich werde üben:) Kann es sein,dass man so auch schärfen kann?Hab mal bei Thilo sowas gelesen.Denn meine Bilder werden beim Verkleinern sehr unscharf,obwohl ich es schon auf verschiedene Arten versucht habe.

Zum Schärfen: man kann mit Ebenen alles machen, eine Ebene schärfen und dann mit Maske die Schärfe selektiv anwenden ist das Beste zum Schärfen was es gibt. Aber - das Problem beim Verkleinern für den upload ist daß nach dem Verkleinern nochmal nachgeschärft werden muß. Ganz generell gelten für verkleinerte Bilder andere Schärfen-Parameter, es ist für ein wirklich gut scharf wirkendes Ergebnis immer notwendig, als LETZTEN Schritt einmal (nach)zuschärfen.
