About Subject background: They are among us, the one-legged-freaks! The fave place is the subway where they rush through... always in fear to lose time.

PS concept: mild cropping. Toning is exactly as the original image. the shifted horizon is by intention - dynamics you know. Motion blur is "real", no PS.

Special equipment: Sigma 14mm

As always: Honest feedback highly appreciated

funny title -- a magic moment -- did you ask them all to stork for you?? :)

Verena Rentrop   {K:14417} 3/3/2005
ich habe mich letztens an der Liverpool Street in Ähnlichem versucht...aber längst nicht so gut wie Deine Armee...

aber wenigstens zwei solltest Du nach Hause schicken...zuviele Beine ;)

Thilo,
The leg thing is really interesting. The motion. The tone. The subway. This works for me.

spontan fällt mir hierzu das "ministry of silly walks" von monthy python ein, warum auch immer...;-)

obwohl nur auf einem bein, kommen die bildinhalte gut daher, und somit das ganze bild.

feinig....

vg, uwe

HAHA! love the title. this is a great shot...timing was perfect to catch everyone in one legged mode. tones here are great too, as everything appears very natural. nicely done Thilo!

Cenk KIRBAS   {K:1739} 3/4/2005
very very strong. On the front you have the dynamic ones, on the back you have the static people. it creates a good depth feeling. Nice catch. Congrats.

Very good capture Thilo, perfect moment to take this in more ways than one .... that could have been me this morning. I finished nights, got outside then slipped on ice in the car park and spent most of the day in hospital for X-rays on my ankle lol

The things we do to get out of a night shift !!

Hope your day was better.

Best wishes,
Steve

Good serendipity on this one, Thilo!

Well done.

At first look, I honestly thought the forward leg of the closest foreground person had been blurred in PS. But you say it wasn't and I believe you!

Thilo Bayer   {K:50301} 3/7/2005
hi angelo,

to be honest, I was quite surprised when I got the film back from the lab. didn't think that my one leg idea would shine without any work to do ;-)

thanks for the feedback,

thilo

Gertrud Gozner   {K:14222} 3/8/2005

Hi Thilo! Incredible motion shot! Certainly a good place to capture people in a hurry!

Sion Dalais   {K:511} 4/4/2005
awesome photo :) how many attempts did it take to get it just right though? be honest!! the title makes me smile

Thilo Bayer   {K:50301} 4/5/2005
Hi Sion,

I made one with the digital to measure the light and the second with the analog ;-)

thx for the feedback,

Thilo
