About I make no excuses for the dodgy post-work here. Not a great shot; it was originally out-of-focus because I got too close for the minimum focus of the 100-400L of about 6 feet (this is an uncropped image). Just posted to show the whiskers on this male blackbird - used, I'm told, to sense worms when he's rummaging around under leaves on the ground.

Handheld zoom at 1/50 sec @ 400mm.

I didn't even know they had whiskers. You live and learn. Really clean shot for ISO 800 and hand holding a 400mm for 1/50th sec. Well done Steve.
