Hoping you could offer your opinion on the Canon DSLR.....I'm in the process of selecting an upgrade from my fujifilm digital (which I've loved since day 1) and having a hard time choosing between a DSLR-the Canon Rebel or the Nikon 8700. If you could share with me your experience with the Canon that you've got-the good and the bad-it would be very helpful. Also..are you using the lens that came with the package? If not, how bad were the pics that the lens that came with the camera? I see you're using the lens that came with the package. How do you like it? ARe you getting clear shots? I'm clueless with lenses...thanks! Oh...is the Canon hard to learn?

Hi Heather first thankyou for the nice comments on my photo and to answer your questions I am very pleased with my canon and highly recomend it however with the 350 xt coming out this month I think I would go the extra money and purchased it #1 the start up time is very fast and it will burst 14 shots (I think the figure is correct ) I shoot weddings and these 2 features would be a great asset and another plus is the 8mp hope this helps in your decision process if the quick start up and burst is not an important factor for you then save the $200 bucks and get the 300d also the kit lense is very good for the price I recommend it of course any Canon L glass is always a better choice however much more expensive
