it's not very difficult, I did with PS, made the layer for the 'view' and emboss + outer line.
the second layer is the bird (without emboss etc). then I delete the background layer, use white background instead.
that's about it :)

Very creative PS work! Its kind of allegorial, somehow. The bird is a spectator, at once part of the image but also separate.

Excellent and creative Cessy! This is so clever! Great work seeing this possibility and making it happen... You've succeeded in turning what would have been a pleasant but fairly ordinary shot into something unique and intriguing! I love the position of the bird and the clarity of the mountains. The slight haze accentuates the crisp detail of the bird and the stone parapet it is standing on. Well done!
