great composition; i love how you've used the shadow to complete the line and create an 'x'!

Jeanette, now you are just teasing us - you open your book of secrets to a blank page! :) I like that you now have two diagonals, with the bottom one slightly 'broken'!

karen clarke   {K:18915} 3/18/2005
Really nice composition Jeanette. Clever use of the ring in the notebook and shadow to divide the image up into four triangles of various shades of color. I think it may even be a cool experiment to place the notebook on a different color to get four distinct colors. May even work as a square image with the four connecting colors in the middle. Anyways, great idea and well executed~

Riccardo Corsini   {K:17796} 3/18/2005
: A variation of the theme, would say more complete than the first one, some that are an industry of ideas! ! !

oh!!! you know i love the strong diagonals in this pic that form 4 distinct triangles... very nice how the sharp spiral details are opposed to the deep red cover and how the two white triangles are opposite to each other balancing the image... excellent dynamique composition both in terms of forms and colors... many (including me of course!!!!) would love to read that notebook and take a glimse of your photowork that is to come... but that would spoil the surprise!!!! and you always suprise me with your vision dear Jeanette!!!! beautiful characteristic work... hugs... emy :)

S.D Holmes   {K:7099} 3/22/2005
