This is our first, but hopefully not last meeting on the pages of "Usefilm" I know Maria well, but how shall I refer to you, Mr. Lorente? It is interesting how fire plays a part in the culture of different peoples. Your excellent photo reminded me that on May 27th we celebrate one of the few victories the Jews had over the Romans in ancient times. At that time the victory was announced by lighting fires on hilltops to be seen from one hill to the next. Nowadays children gather wood from every possible source (many a piece of furniture has become victim to this custom) and on the night of the feast compete which group had the hugest fire. Of course the fire-brigade is on stand-by and is frequently called to put out a fire that went out of control.
Jusr as you, Maria, Mr. Lorente is invited to read my bio and pay further vistis to my portfolio.

This event is "Las Fallas" in the March (from 14 since 19). It's a festival typic in Valencia for burning the old everythings in the last year. Our artist build these big (and gigant) statues along of the year. They are very very expensives. The statues are a society and politic critics and they are burn the 19 March.

I love the series here but think you actually picked the best one to post. The hints of hands and faces being licked by the flames is almost scary and definitely incites interest and question as to what is happening! You managed to retain detail and color and contrast beautifully and your composition is excellent.
