| About |
A fake Edy's ad, done for practice. This photo is what has gotten me interested in food, though I took food a little less conventionally, as you'll se in later photos.

HEY!!! A fellow (female?) Illinoisian!!! Welcome to usefilm. And don't let people like Paul Lara, and Gabe Willson, and Becc, and Trish, and DD, and Kevin, and YP tell ya otherwise... I am almost normal. To be honest, I checked this out 'cause I had an ice cream story to tell ya. But since you do not really know me and I would probably just bore ya to tears anyway, I'll pass on the story and just say, "interesting" and I'll look for the more unconventional food pics. Do ya scan any of yer dinners? Jim

Jim-
what's the story? Now I wanna know! Ya know, I did photograph my dinner plate after I'd eaten for a while, but never got the photo I was looking for. I also did some stuff in resturant kitchens, but again, not too many photos I was happy with.

Ok, here?s the story. (not very interesting or funny, but I thought of it when I saw your pic) In 2001 I went to London with my daughter. She was in French club(the trip also took in Paris) at the high school and I went as a chaperone. One night Eli (my daughter) and I were walking along a street with Amanda (Eli?s friend who also went on the trip) and we stumbled across this little convenience store near Blackfriars Bridge going to Southwark. Now, I told Eli that while in London she had to eat Brit food. It was a cultural thing. Since we had traveled all that way, she had to try the local foods and such. So we popped into the store. Amanda bought some Brit candy. I picked up a Brit ale and Eli went to the freezer section and bought a wee ice cream cup (like the one in yer pic----that is what sparked this memory) As we walked back to the hotel (around 11:30 pm) I asked Amanda about her candy. She gave me a piece, it was pretty good. I snuggled the ale under me arm? and couldn?t wait to pop it open back in my room (LONG story about me stumbling around a back alley trying to take a sober pic while holding down several Brit ales) and Eli was next. I asked her what kind of ice cream she bought. ?Something cherry.? ?Is it good?? She nodded, ?Yes! VERY good!? Hmmmmm I thought, ?What kind is it?? She passed the container over--- Ben & Jerry?s?. good lord. To this day she claims she did NOT know it was an American brand? kids?.
The attached pic was taken about 20 minutes before Eli bought the Yank ice cream. Jim
