i like the effect gaja, maybe only one change would be to bring down your mids a bit to let just a hint of a shadow on the nose line reveal itself, other than that i love it, very cool image and i really like how its really only two tones with some noise in the grey's... wonderful job

Hi Phil,

I know what you mean about the nose shadow; there is some white space there, maybe too much. unfortunately, the original has almost no contrast around the nose. If I bring down the mid tones a bit, I just get some chin and cheek shadows, which don't look very good. Thanks for your honest feedback.

Honestly, very nice Gaja! It looks like a B&W drawing. I like it.

hey gaja, the only way i can think of if you really want to bring that slight bit of a shadow off on the nose is to isolate that area, that way when you bring the mids down you wont bring them down on the chin like you said, basically magic wand where the shadow is on the nose, copy and paste that into a new layer and the play with that layers mids, you might have to copy the original layer again and lower the opacity to make a smooth transition between the two layers though... its an amazing image, i enjoy it very much, this was just a thought, not to much of a critique cause i really enjoy the image as is.... keep them coming im assuming this is a portrait of yourself???

Hi Phil,

It is me, but honestly it doesn't look anything like me (probably because of the barrel distortion). Here I created a duplicate layer and burned in the areas around the nose. Thanks for all your comments.
