I love the expression you have captured here. I can almost feel her pain. I do, however, feel that although the lighting here is perfect, that you should darken the photo a bit and perhaps add some grains to the finished product. I think doing this will add more 'darkness' and 'depression' to the shot. This is just a preference for me. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the shot as is. Keep up the good work!

Yes - full of expression and seems like being a lot of pain.

Very nice! Looks like a Prozac or Tylenol Advertisement!

Great positioning of the hands and a piercing gaze. Nice lighting. Looks like there's maybe a smile hidden under the hands which contradicts the title.

Gaja,

I hate to be redundant, but here goes? I think you over compensated with PS to soften this photo by adding too much grain, noise, or sharpening?

Remember when using (hard) or direct lighting it almost always makes the subject unflattering? The light in this case would have been more flattering by diffusing?

I figure your using the on board camera flash, but try setting your camera white balance to tungsten and get a spot light, then diffuse it with an umbrella, or a bed sheet to get the appealing wrap around warmth quality? Dean Collins 101?

My Best,

Jr. Martin
