About I've had this shot in my mind for quite a while and finally stumbled upon a suitable scene with the right light just this evening. Also, since I first learned this particular PS technique about 1 month ago I have been looking for a scene that might match up with the effect. Just send me a virtual smack-down if I have failed.

I don't think you've failed with your attempt, but I would also really like to see this with the clarity and sharpness of the original. It's got great lines, beautiful backlighting and excellent DOF.
