About This is Marsen Moor, near Saddleworth in the Pennines...

As you can see we had some pretty impressive clouds yesterday! This biggy was meandering along for an hour before I took this one!

The little town to the left is Marsden and the ridge to the right has lots of wierd chimneys sticking out of it.

if you're after bleak landscapes, get on the M62 in the UK!

Incredible cloud formation, Ade!
Great landscape, too.
Kind regards, Chris

Cheers Chris

it's a proper desolate location up there, loads of those reservoirs feeding Huddersfield and Manchester, so you usually get a subject to play with.

been loving these clouds though. one minute hail, the next, cotton wool!

I agree with Chris. Excellent capture of that dark moody cloud foramtion.

No doubt that there is stormy weather a coming mate.

Good shot - late afternoon from the amount of yellow tones in the shot, really adds some warmth to what might have been an overly depressing shot.

Great catch of that ominous cloud moving in, Ade!

Beautiful color tone,Congrats.!

This one caught my eye, Ade - the ominous feeling is amplified by the barren hills. The sheer size of the cloud and the landscape is clear by the relatively tiny impact of the town. I like the smoky yellow tones too. Amy

Wonderful clouds on this one. Very menacing, your title is spot on!
