The only thing I was kind of hesitant about is all that totally dark area in the lower right. Still I didn't really want to cut it out either.

That dark area is actually very critical to the eye, because it completes the tonal range from completely white to total black, and everything else in between.

HI Mark,
I agree that some black is needed, but I just wish it was a little more evenly distributed, so it wasn't so dominating. (sometimes we are our own worst critics)
