maurizio this is awesome. catching him in silhouette was a great idea yet there's enough light to get detail on the machine. only one thing could possibly make this better... too bad there isn't a curl of smoke visible from the end of the cigarette. did you add the slight magenta tone? btw, am i correct in guessing that this is a printing press?

Shaka Sean! Thanks for your nice and useful - as always - comments: yes, it is a BW film, I shot with my new F80, and this is the result of my first scan with my also new Nikon Coolscan; I played around with its scan settings and thought this tone would work. I'll post some proper BW scans from the same roll lately. About the cigarillo smoke, I indeed had the same idea, but unfortunately the shots with some more smoke curl did not appear as good as this.

thanks for your visit.... I'm happy to know that this is your favourite shot of my portfolio, since it is mine as well...
It was the first BW roll I was using on my N80 and the first one where I started to "think" more about light using spot metering. I'm really proud of it for this reason.
