About More of the forks. About is in Forks I. In this instance I was arranging steel forks in a tripod to see if I could get any interesting effects.

Nice and creative look to the still life, with the great background and lighting used, the DOF is so helpful in this combine... bravo> my rate: 6 <look at my shots please!

nice idea!!! well done!!!

Hi Michael, For me, this is the strongest of the three. (nice triptych, by the way). The balance is there, and the distance cue is more evident than in the second one. The setup and feeling are more comparable with the first one too, making the second the odd one out from this perspective.

Thanks for the explanation, btw...:)

Cheers,

Hugo

Michael Kanemoto   {K:22106} 4/11/2005
Gotcha! This is not a triptych, but inspired by someone I know who does them. More to come.

Additional Triptychs/multiples to come this week. I seem to have shot a lot of steel this weekend.

Hugo de Wolf   {K:185017} 4/11/2005
Heheheheh.... Guess I reacted too soon.... Been shooting steel, huh? So did I....:) Hang on two more high contrast B&W uploads, and then I'm going steel too....;)

Cheers,

Hugo

This is a great shot. Nice studio work. I love the reflections.

Mary Sue Hayward   {K:17531} 4/13/2005
As I mentioned in a comment on another image, these are really creative and wonderful. I bought a shiny new fork a few weeks ago just for this same purpose, but started cooking with it before I shot anything!

You did a great job compositionally. The lighting is exactly right, and of course, the blur is magnificent!

Fadel J   {K:13747} 4/14/2005
Great lighting and DOF, very interesting forks work Michael, I like this one the best too. By the way since you are interested in forks, there's a friend who have some high quality forks work too, thought you might be interested to see: http://www.usefilm.com/browse.php?mode=user&uid=73391&offset=90
