Great colors, clean lines and angles, Jeanette! I think only clone out the little piece of window sill at the top. Looks like a good vacation! :)

Hi Jeanette, not to worry, take your time. Again, the conposition of angles and geometries as well as the contrasting (almost conflicting/clashing) colours are the key elements here. Only the windowstill of the top window, just barely visible, disrupts the composition, IMO. Other than that a fine shot. As usual....:)
Cheers,
Hugo

Always the purity of line, color and composition ? Michele / Dirck are right ? the little hanging window sill on the top left of the frame could easily disappear and would not be missed. ... viva Italia...

C

Wonderful image, Jeanette. You have all the right components here...the window the texture of the plaster and the drainpipes. My only concern is the angle of the lines of these component parts? They need to all fit in with each other to please the eye. Maybe try a free rotate and have a play.
Well done, Jeanette

I do like the color combination, as always beautiful in your images. I think maybe eye level shooting this would be more appealing-but there's not always the option for that though is there? My favorite part of the image is the window-and inside where there is darkness you can see the shadow of the blinds-that little area creates a nice abstract as well. I wonder if the slantedness of the window would work much better on its own without the brown pipes-but who knows-photography is one heck of a fun experiment after another-always great to see your new works~

I did not notice the "disturbing detail" until I looked at your about. This is what I like to call "eye candy." It is just pleasureable to drink it in with the eyes. The color, composition, and shapes work very well. What IS it in our nature that draws us to this dynamic. I'm driving at the science of it rather than the philosophy. It makes me feel like the bee drawn to the bright colored flower -- programmed by nature. I can explain it for the bee, but as for humans -- am at a loss. But it does all tickle my brain. Antonia
