lovely landscape, i don't like your shadow, even if you wanted..

Lovely view captured, the tones and clarity are both superb, there appears to be no distortion here, how do you like this lense?

Hi Gregory,

I borrowed a friends 16-35mm F2.8L (£750+ over here) which was soft at 16mm & sharp at 35mm, but opted for 17-40mm F4.0L (£480 over here) which is sharp at 17mm but soft at 40mm. A no brainer for me really. With an 8MP camera shooting at 17-30mm & then cropping doesn't present a problem. F2.8 is a luxury I can manage without!
Cheers,
Steve.
