It only opens at night! :)
We have a tree here the name of it is ?queen of the night? -I don?t know the name in English it?s a translation from Arabic- at the night the blossoms open and spread the most amazing smell! The flowers are not as attractive as your pond lily tho ;)
The mirror image reflection is unbelievably sharp!!!
and the bluish hue suggest the timing of the day, early morning!!!!!!!!
In my humble personal opinion this image works because of the tones and the opening of the flower that to anyone who have any idea about this lily could immediately till the time of day!
now thats cool!!!!
Oh and good composition ;)

Here we hava one tree called "Dama da Noite", maybe the same tree, your flower opens at night and have a strong smell..
This shot i tooke awaitng for sun rise.. I think about 5:20 a.m.
