Hi Rebecca,

Long time no hear...hope you are doing well...thank YOU FOR YOU for your message. I see you are shooting film...how's that? did the digi cam break? hahaha I guess I haven't touched a film cam for years .... it is rusting in the closet...a museum item now. lol.
Your composition is good just as always. great to see flowers coming up yet again.

Cheers, Tim

Such pretty flowers - always look like cheery little faces to me! :) I love the way they're offset against the dark gray background. Maybe a little crop off the bottom to show only the complete blooms? (sorry, can't resist tinkering!)

Richard Dakin   {K:12852} 4/20/2005
I'm not a flower person Rebecca (they make me sneeze), but I do like this photograph. Effective use of DOF, good composition, and the whites are very pure. I think you will really like the Portra film I mentioned in my response to your comment on "Christie Beach". It comes in 400 ASA too. I have used it for some shots in my portfolio, Inukshuk #8 is one. I am always experimenting with different films and the Portra series is my fav so far, despite it being designated a portrait film.

I love how the dark background really shows off the flowers. Beautiful lighting and composition. Alison

Just something about dogwoods. They are not that showy but I love them. Mine are in bloom now. Nice sharp photo Del.
