About Another shot form Althorp, more a documentary shot than a fine arty thing - but you can see there's Steve Bowden showing off his latest shot to Den Thompson on the left - Margaret Sturgess getting busy with the macro lens (I want one!) and Henry probably checking out a shot of Althorp House - you needed a 300mm from this distance to get a decent closeup.

Taken at 24mm, managed to get a sweeping line with the road, a polariser got eh colours dense and the ND grads (2 of them) stopped the sky burning out.... it was actully quite bright would you believe!

That's den's car by the way....

Colours have faded in post production as Den's coat was far brighter than this suggests!!

Now then, one of the first rules in railway photography is to eliminate things growing out of the top of your subject. As this is a shot of my car you should have tried harder to get rid of that tree. I would have suggested you laid on the grass verge about where Margaret is and used a lower viewpoint. A longer lens would also have removed the stragglers on the left side of the shot. Now go suck eggs.
Seriously though, I find it a very interesting candid Ade. Didn't know you'd done it.

Ade,

I remember this one - thats when Steve clicked his siames twin sheeps.

But What I can't remeber is when that tree grew up so big 'on top of Den's car' Though ! Perhaps we were all so busy looking threw the lens all the time.

Lovely scene.

regards
ken.

I like this, the way the road just goes on and disappears almost into the horizon. So glad you got that before I fell over, I wouldn't have fogiven you for taking me sprawled out, people might have thought it was me that popped into the pub LOL That is a very funny roof rack Den's got, never noticed it before

Love the detail and mood in this photograph, the burning in the clouds is superb.

Best wishes,
