fantastic shapes Salvo. Every butress (or what ever they are) looks quite different and
Interesting choice of contrast, I wondered about ity but then a trick occured to my eyes where I lost track of how far away each thing is and the image flattened. I mean to say the things have been brought closer together perhaps. it would be interesting to see if this is a common occurance for people looking at this or just something strange about my perception.
A real tribute to the eye of some old mason.

Wonderful composition. As you know, I also am drawn to such textures. I believe the illusion Ian comments on is a function of the dof. At any rate, it is a very nice shot and would make a fine print.
