About Softened in PSP

We have a lilac tree in our yard that only blooms for about a minute during spring. I figured I had better cease the opportunity!

Hi Melanie - nice to see that spring has arrived in Tehachapi with a flourish - this is a lovely colourful image - regards Jeff #:0)

Hi Melanie, when it comes to flowers I prefer the centres to be razor sharp and the petals with fine detail present.Lilacs with their masses of flowers are difficult to isolate and still represent the flower bunch.Soft focusing has it's merits but I'm not sure that I like it here. Ian Pearson.

I am the complete opposite of Ian... I really like the softness in this image... it's got a really enjoyable delicateness to it, almost dream-like.
The pastel colours are beautiful exposed as well and the hues are vibrant and alive.
I think you could crop a little from the bottom and give more strength to the flowers at the top of the frame. A square crop perhaps?
Anyways, I really like this... it's got a beautiful flow to it.

Thanks, Kim, for your nice and thoughtful comment/advice!

I have to admit that naure/floral/landscape type shots are not my strongpoint!! LOL Any advice in this area are appreciated!
