Gilberto, you mentioned the camera's sensor when taking sun shots. From my Astronomy hobby, I am very careful with solar viewing and always use an appropriate filter.
However, I don't know camera well. Can the sensor in my camera be damaged by the Sun? f so, does a UV filter solve the problem?

The red tones of the sunset are beautiful, I like very much the idea of the bird complementing the composition
Well done Mary
Sergio

Gilberto Santa Rosa   {K:11147} 5/1/2005
I'm affraid that the burning of the sensor is due due to infrared rays. So, the UV filter has no effect.
I did burn a hole in the shutter curtain, of a late Contax SLR film camera, when I point it to the sun. So, take care!

Dorothy Di Liddo   {K:13796} 5/2/2005

Brilliant capture!! The sunset & colours are amazing... and that bird (how much you pay him to sit there for this shot?) Excellent composition... love it.

Randy Lorance   {K:24958} 5/4/2005
Beautiful end of day capture Mary. Your title really fits,it does seem to be taking it in. And as birds see in color,I have no doubt it is enjoying the display. Having been around various pet birds and observing their behaviour in the wild, particularly how they seem to joyiously celebrate in the early morning hours,I think they are closely tied to the environment and have somewhat of an ability of abstract thinking.

Randy

Jorge Gonzalez   {K:342} 5/5/2005

Larry Fosse   {K:65776} 5/5/2005

Margaret Sturgess   {K:49403} 5/6/2005
Just WOW Mary Stunning, what a sky, and how great having the bird sitting there, if there wasn't one - you would think perhaps I should clone out that wire - but it enhances the composition - wonderful
